Cheese Ball
2 (8-ounce each) packages cream cheese, softened
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 1/4 tablespoon chopped pimento
1 tablespoon minced onion
1 tablespoon minced green pepper
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
2 cups finely chopped walnuts
• Combine all ingredients together and mix well.
• Shape into 1 large ball or 2 small balls.
• Roll in the finely chopped nuts.
• Wrap tightly in plastic wrap and chill for 2 to 3 hours, removing from refrigerator 1/2 hour before serving.
• Serve with a variety of crackers and cut up vegetables.
Serves 10.
Shirlie’s Cheese Ball
1 pound cheese spread
1 pound cheddar cheese
8 ounces cream cheese
4 cloves garlic — minced
1/2 cup chopped pecans — or walnuts
minced nuts
paprika
Mix cheeses together, mix in garlic and nuts. Chill several hours. Roll into ball and roll in minced nuts, sprinkle with Paprika.
Cheese Ball
8 ounces cream cheese
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon chopped onions
1 tablespoon chopped pimentos
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
nuts — finely chopped
Mix all ingredients except nuts with a mixer. Shape into a ball and roll in chopped nuts.
Bunny Salad
1 Chilled pear half
2 Raisins
1 Red cinnamon candy
2 Blanched almonds
-cottage cheese ball
Place crisp lettuce leaf on plate. On top of it, place pear upside down. Make bunny, using narrow end for face. Two raisins for the eyes, 1 red cinnamon candy for the nose and 2 blanched almonds for the ears. The cottage cheese ball makes the tail.
