French Apple & Spice Cake



1/2  cup           butter — softened
1 1/4  cups          brown sugar
2                    Eggs
2      cups          flour
1/2  teaspoon      baking soda
1/2  teaspoon      baking powder
3/4  cup           sour cream
1      can           Comstock Sliced Apples — drained and cut
– into coarse chunks
– (20 oz.)
1 1/2  teaspoons     cinnamon
1/4  teaspoon      cloves
1/4  teaspoon      nutmeg

Cream butter and sugar.

Sift together flour and remaining dry ingredients; add alternately with
sour cream to creamed mixture.

fold in apples.

Spray 9-cup tube pan with PAM (or grease and flour).

Pour in batter.

Bake in preheated 350 degrees oven for 45 – 50 minutes; turn out on wire
rack to complete cooling.
