Bean Dip with Cheese



½ cup (1 stick) butter or margarine
1 onion, chopped
1 can green chilies, drained and diced
1 can (1 ounce) refried beans
2 cups grated cheddar cheese

1. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
2. Add the onion and chilies and sauté for 5 to 10 minutes.
3. Add the beans and cook until a thick bean paste forms.

4. Add cheese and serve with tortilla chips.
